Michael Glassco, President

Michael has been working in the occupational health and safety field for more than 32 years after graduating from the Industrial Hygiene Technology program at Lambton College in Sarnia, Ontario. Over the past 31 years during his consulting tenure, Mr. Glassco has managed and conducted many indoor air quality, occupational hygiene and asbestos projects with his specialty being indoor air quality and mould investigations.

Craig Gilder, Project Manager

Craig joined the Sterling IAQ team in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology from UBC and an Occupational Health and Safety Diploma from BCIT. Early on, he achieved AHERA certification and in 2018 became a Canadian Registered Safety Professional.  Craig has managed and conducted projects including hazardous materials surveys, mould investigations, indoor air quality investigations, occupational hygiene investigations, safety program development, asbestos management program development, safety audits, and confined space programs.

Wesley Vasconcelos, Site Technologist

Wesley joined the SIAQ team in 2020 and has assisted his colleagues in several projects such as hazmat surveys, asbestos inventory assessments, and indoor air quality investigations as well as conducting similar projects of his own. Wesley has a Bachelors of Arts in Geography from Simon Fraser University and is also certified under the AHERA program

Kenny Luong, Senior Project Manager

Kenny graduated from the Architectural Building and Engineering Technology Program from BCIT in 2008 and quickly joined the Sterling IAQ Consultants team. His education in architecture provides a broad range of expertise with respect to building envelopes, mechanical systems and general construction.  Kenny is also AHERA certified and has provided valuable consultation and project management services to clients in both the private and public sectors across Canada.  With over a decade of experience in providing dedicated customer service, Kenny has become a valuable member of the Sterling IAQ team.

Monica Lam, Project Manager

Monica graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Health Sciences and continued her studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University receiving a diploma in Technology in Environmental Protection.

Her passion in helping others and care for the environment led her to join the Sterling IAQ team in 2017. Monica is certified under the AHERA program and primarily manages indoor air quality (proactive and reactive), mould consulting and hazardous materials’ projects.

 Prior to joining Sterling IAQ, Monica was responsible for incorporating strategies, policies and standards in health and safety, planning for construction and maintenance activities on federal property and environmental laboratory testing.

When she is not working, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling and learning about different cultures.
